Tampa-Area State Attorney Suzy Lopez Named New Chair of Protecting Americans Action Fund
Arlington, VA – Protecting Americans Action Fund (PAAF) is proud to announce State Attorney Suzy Lopez, Thirteenth Judicial Circuit (Hillsborough County, Florida), as the organization’s new Chair. She takes over for Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin, who used the role to advocate for public safety and tough-on-crime policies while holding George Soros-backed prosecutors accountable. Having joined PAAF’s Advisory Board in 2025, State Attorney Lopez is the third person, first woman, and first locally elected prosecutor to lead this organization.
“Serving as PAAF’s Chairman has been an honor and now I’m thrilled to hand the reins over to State Attorney Suzy Lopez. Suzy is a veteran prosecutor who unwaveringly supports our men and women in law enforcement, fights tirelessly for victims in the pursuit of justice, and ensures criminals are held responsible when they break the law,” said Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin. “Suzy is battle-tested, having faced a Soros-backed liberal prosecutor who previously held her seat – and won. She has been a tremendous ambassador for PAAF, and now in her new role as Chair, will continue to grow PAAF’s network, influence, and impact nationwide.”
“I am humbled and honored to serve as PAAF’s new Chair, an organization that promotes prosecutors who enforce our laws, brings like-minded elected officials, stakeholders, and allied partners together, and provides valuable campaign resources for prosecutorial races each year, including my own election victory in 2024,” said PAAF Chair Suzy Lopez. “I have been a staunch supporter of PAAF’s mission since taking office, and I’m looking forward to using this platform to expand a national network of prosecutors committed to public safety, help elect strong, law-and-order local prosecutors across the country, and provide a clear counterweight to efforts that undermine accountability in the criminal justice system.”
