Soros DA Poster Child Larry Krasner Recommended for Criminal Investigation
Arlington, VA – Protecting Americans Action Fund (PAAF) Executive Director Rob Simpson released the following statement following the bombshell memorandum handed down by a U.S. District Judge recommending the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) investigate Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner over his deliberate and brazen mishandling of a post-conviction case.
“As if refusing to enforce the law and letting criminals roam freely weren’t enough, Larry Krasner has outdone himself by now obstructing justice, pressuring and intimidating prosecutors in his office to lie in court in order to ‘protect the office’ while the merits of a case to overturn a murder conviction were predictably unraveling.
“Because so many of his fellow Soros-backed DAs have either been recalled, lost re-election, or decided to not seek election over the years, Krasner has self-anointed himself as the leader of a progressive criminal justice movement that has done nothing except endanger communities.
“For Krasner, this was never about righting a perceived miscarriage of justice. Rather, this is all part of a vain exercise of a man solely focused on protecting his name, not the safety of those he was elected to serve.
“Krasner once again has not only failed the people of Philadelphia, but he has also sullied the judicial system by putting his own pathetic ambitions above what is right and wrong.”

Judge refers Philadelphia district attorney to federal prosecutors for investigation. “A federal judge referred Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner to the U.S. Department of Justice on Tuesday for investigation into whether he broke the law while overseeing a post-conviction case. U.S. District Judge Paul S. Diamond disqualified Krasner and Assistant DA Matthew Stiegler from participating in the case involving Dennis Johnson, who is seeking to have his second-degree murder conviction overturned. Diamond also took the unusual step of recommending that the DOJ investigate whether Krasner committed any crimes, including perjury and obstruction of justice, according to court documents. In a memorandum referring the matter for ‘investigation and other appropriate action’ the judge said ‘troubling’ activity by Krasner and Stiegler was uncovered during recent evidentiary hearings into how the DA’s office handled the Johnson case.” (Associated Press, 9/15/26)
