Arlington, VA – Virginia Attorney General and Chairman of Protecting Americans Action Fund Jason Miyares released the following statement regarding the death of Laken Riley.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to Laken Riley’s family and the entire UGA community. This death was completely preventable – if our federal leaders believed in enforcing our immigration laws, Ms. Riley may still be with us today. This tragic death is a reminder that all of our laws need to be enforced by those who are put in office to do so. As Chairman of the Protecting Americans Action Fund, we are working to elect prosecutors who will enforce our laws because whether it’s illegal immigration or crime on our streets, we need these criminals to be held accountable before they kill or hurt an innocent victim.”
