Arlington, VA – As Washington, D.C. works on a bill to reduce violent crimes, concerned residents are urging the city to enforce our laws to get criminals off the street.

Last year, our nation’s capital experienced the highest murder rate in over 25 years, along with a spike in carjackings and robberies.

Unfortunately, nobody is immune to this crime spike as Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar experienced a carjacking in Navy Yard, while Democratic Congresswoman Angie Craig was violently attacked near her apartment.

“Protecting Americans Action Fund is committed to electing prosecutors who will enforce our laws, and it’s time Washington gets leaders who not only write tough laws but also enforce them,” said Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares. “When we enforce our laws, it removes repeat criminals from the street, which makes our neighborhoods and communities in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia safer.”
