Arlington, VA – Today, Jessica Curtis, President of Protecting Americans Action Fund (PAAF), released the following statement regarding the closure of Whole Foods in downtown San Francisco.

“When liberal activists masquerade as prosecutors and refuse to enforce our laws, crime increases, and businesses are forced to close their doors.  While the business of Whole Foods goes unchanged with the closing of one store, hard-working Americans are out of a job, lesser-known businesses could dry up, and it’s because far-left prosecutors are refusing to enforce our laws.  Protecting Americans Action Fund is dedicated to electing prosecutors who will enforce our laws, keeping criminals off the street and allowing businesses of all sizes to thrive.”

Protecting Americans Action Fund is led by Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares, the group’s honorary Chairman.  The organization’s advisory board includes a wide range of individuals committed to national public safety issues.

Whole Foods in Downtown San Francisco Closes Due to Spiraling Crime. “One of the largest supermarkets in downtown San Francisco closed its doors this week due to deteriorating street conditions nearby.  Increased drug use and crime near the Whole Foods on Eighth and Market, which opened just one year ago, contributed to the store’s closing, a city hall source told the San Francisco Standard.” (Yahoo News, 04/11/23)
